National Mine Health and Safety Academy | The Woodlands
The National Mine Health and Safety Academy is located in Beckley, West Virginia, on an 80-acre site near the Raleigh County Airport. The MSHA Academy is responsible for training MSHA mine safety personnel, health inspectors, and technicians. The Academy provides health and safety training to mining professionals from across the US and the world.

This facility has nine different laboratories: roof control, mine emergency and mine rescue, electrical machinery, ground control, ventilation, computer and underground mine simulation, and industrial hygiene, exposing students to a wide range of MSHA disciplines.
